Tutor Assisted Learning Strategies

This project examines the short- and long-term impact of an early literacy tutorial intervention for kindergarten children at risk of reading difficulties. In addition, the project explores whether learner characteristics moderate the effects of this intervention that is being delivered by well-trained volunteers. The project has been piloted and will be field-tested with AmeriCorps members. 250 students in ten schools will be assigned to TAILS or a comparison control condition using a stratified random sampling plan
