Does the student show awareness of
individual words in spoken sentences?
Help Me Decide Have the student:
(a) tap each word in a sentence, or
(b) use manipulatives to represent each word in a sentence

(a) segment two-syllable words, or
(b) segment three-syllable words

(b) state words that rhyme

(b) identify the last sound, and
