General Information

• All principals who plan to have the staff at their school use the PMRN for the 2011-2012 school year must register their school.
• The only way to access the registration form is through this page.
• Registration will be open through mid-September.
• Register early so that the school can be activated in the PMRN and required correspondence mailed in time to be received before testing is scheduled to begin.
• Registering to use the PMRN does NOT place the order for printed assessment materials.
• There is not a charge for using the PMRN.
• PMRN User's Guides are available to download from www.fcrr.org/pmrn/userguides.shtm.

Florida Kindergarten Readiness Screeners (FLKRS)

The Progress Monitoring and Reporting Network (PMRN) (https://pmrn.fcrr.org) will be the data management system for submitting all observations/scores from the Florida Kindergarten Readiness Screeners (FLKRS). This includes the scores from the Early Childhood Observation System™ (ECHOS™) and the Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading (FAIR). There will not be a paper submission of bubble sheets/Scantron™ forms.

• All Florida public schools are required to administer the FLKRS to any first-time enrolled Kindergarten student.
• Non-public schools that have a student enrolled in Kindergarten for the first time, who attended a Florida Voluntary pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program, may administer FLKRS to that student.
• The FLKRS are administered during the first thirty instructional days of school.
• The PMRN will be open to registered Florida schools (Public and non-Public) during their FLKRS administration window.
• Registering to use the PMRN does NOT order the print materials needed for the screening.

Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading (FAIR)

Use of the Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading (FAIR) is open to all Florida public schools that follow Florida's reading assessment schedule.

        Assessment 1 = Instructional Days 6-40
        Assessment 2 = Instructional Days 66-100
        Assessment 3 = Instructional Days 136-170

Registration to use the PMRN for assessing students in reading provides access to the K-2 Electronic Scoring Tool (K-2 EST) and the 3-12 Web-based Assessment Module (3-12 WAM).

In order to use the Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading:

• The staff that will be assessing the students must be properly trained in the administration of the FAIR.
• Assessments must take place during the data collection periods listed above.
• The computers must meet the minimum system requirements.
• The school must have enough bandwidth to support the assessments and the normal daily internet activity.
• For rostering, principals must notify the District Information Systems (DIS) office of:
- the school's intent to utilize the PMRN,
- which students will be assessed, and
- which teacher will be the Primary Responsible Instructor for Reading.

        Special Notes

        On the registration form,

The First Instructional Day for Students (school start date) is the first day of classes for students. When registering, please indicate the school start date for students. This date is used to establish the school's Assessment Calendar.

By clicking the "Yes" radio button under "Students Added by Surveys 2 & 3", principals elect to have newly enrolled students added to the list of students in the PMRN when the survey data is imported. Any new student in the survey (for the grade(s) marked) will be added to the list of students in the school, but not assigned to a class. This occurs in November — based on the October student count (Survey 2) — and March — based on the February student count (Survey 3).

By clicking the "No" radio button under "Students Added by Surveys 2 & 3", the principal is stating that additional students are not to be added to the list and rostering will be completed by Users through the PMRN User Interface. Demographic information for existing students will be updated.

Professional Development Log for Reading/Literacy Coaches (Coach's Log)

Professional Development Log for Reading/Literacy Coaches (Coach's Log) is a bi-weekly report submitted by Reading/Literacy Coaches to the Just Read, Florida! Office. The form and associated reports are accessed through the Progress Monitoring and Reporting Network (PMRN). Principals must register to use the PMRN so that their Coaches can complete the form. After registration and activation, the principal is to Sign In to the PMRN and create User accounts in the PMRN for the Coaches. All Coaches funded through state or federal funds (including district flow through dollars) are to complete the bi-weekly report. When creating the User in the PMRN (during activation and not registration), principals will need to identify the funding source(s) and the percentages.

Principals, after you complete and submit the Registration Form, if you do not receive a confirmation E-mail, please go back to the Registration page and correct your E-mail address.
