Camping Overnight

James and Lee are really excited. They are going camping! The car is full. Dad drives them to the woods and he puts up the campsite. They have warm, cozy sleeping bags. They are near a flowing river. Dad makes a fire, while James and Lee get wood for the fire. They get branches, dry twigs, and leaves. They build a huge pile of wood for the fire. Then they roast delicious marshmallows. They sing songs as it gets dark. James and Lee love camping.

Soon it gets very dark. They can hear a hooting noise coming from the trees. Dad says it is an owl. Suddenly a little black thing flies by them. Dad says it is a bat. James and Lee are a little scared. As the fire dies down, they get into their sleeping bags. They say goodnight and go to sleep.
